About

I'm a frontend engineer based in Bengaluru. I started at a UK consultancy building design systems and testing infrastructure, moved to Element Insurance to build dynamic form engines for underwriting, and now own registry and gifting surfaces at Target.

What ties it together: I take responsibility for what ships. Architecture decisions, accessibility compliance, bundle weight, team velocity — if my name is on it, it needs to survive production. I also co-own an open-source desktop agent workspace called AI-Worker.

Currently: Reading about agentic MCP workflows. Building a Quran reading app at furqanly.com. Available for senior frontend roles.

A Quran reading app I built. Browse surahs, save ayahs, track your reading, check recitation with word-level voice matching. The UI is intentionally quiet — it stays out of the way during recitation.

Target Corporation

Senior Software Engineer / Sep 2024 to Present

Owned registry and gifting surfaces end to end. Delivered 20% conversion lift through flow optimization and state management refactoring.
Cut the JavaScript bundle from 5 MB to 6 KB for the registry and gifting surface. The trick: eliminating unused dependencies, code-splitting by route, and moving heavy rendering to the server where it made sense.
Improved Core Web Vitals and page-load metrics by 40%+ through targeted performance work.
Built an MCP server so the team could query internal documentation through AI-assisted tooling — less context switching, faster onboarding.

Element Insurance AG

Senior Software Engineer / May 2022 to Mar 2024

Led a JSON-schema dynamic form engine for configurable underwriting workflows.
Built Formik state architecture for conditional logic and deeply nested schemas.
Drove accessibility compliance with ARIA, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support.

Built a reusable design system and component library across client projects.
Raised test coverage from under 50% to 90% with Cypress, Jest, and Playwright.
